Issue Position: This is Our State!

Issue Position

We live here and hold true to the belief that we are Michiganders and Americans, therefore we must adhere to the traditions of our founders at both the Federal and State level.

Our Education System needs to be more in line with the values of the people who live and work in the State, not beholden to ideas of establishment politicians.

Many single parent households are struggling economically. Struggling to find affordable child-care while remaining productive in the workforce. Allowing tax breaks to the head of these single parent house holds will provide help without a hand out.

The State is sovereign and as part of a Republic it must remain sovereign. This can be done through the nullification of laws such as the NDAA (National Defense Authorization Act.) The federal government has its limited powers under the Constitution yet It continues to over step its bounds. We have seen too many instances of blackmail and other forms of coercion that have forced states to comply with Federal power grabs. States have the right to form laws and policies free of influence in order to maintain local and regional beliefs and values. Especially in the areas of education, privacy and healthcare.

Small business is where our country started, let's make it cost effective by holding open bidding for one stop insurance shopping and licensing. Allow the free market to value the cost of business insurance rather than a select few.

The State must lead by example, this is why I support a part-time legislation. If we condense voting and committees into a part time schedule with part time pay, it will save our tax dollars.

I believe we should hold those in office and in public servant positions to a higher standard. Therefore, I support tougher penalties, independent investigation and prosecution on those who break their oath of office.

Together we can make positive changes that will benefit us all!
